UL (Underwriters Laboratories) 為進一步協助消費電子產品業者打開印度潛力市場，以符合印度電子資訊技術部頒布的 「2012電子與資訊技術商品法令」強制性要求，UL印度實驗室已獲得印度標準局(BIS)認可28種類別的產品測試能力，而最新一項電池類別亦正審核中。該法令自去年起將列管產品範圍拓展至30種類別的電子產品，新增類別包括：行動電話、電池、行動電源、電源供應器等等。其中電源供應器類別中，知名電子產品供應商光寶科技，即透過UL成功符合 IS 13252 (資訊科技設備) 標準要求，成為大中華區首家印度標準局的授權廠商，並已獲發多個授權註冊碼。

光寶科技電源系統事業群執行長孫鉦忠指出：「由於印度標準局(BIS)強制性註冊計劃內的測試項目需於經BIS認證授權的實驗室進行，測試結果才被接納。在眾多實驗室中，我們選擇有信譽及擁有國際團隊的第三方實驗室 - UL為最佳方案。UL工程師隨時提供當地法規變化並清楚申請及測試程序細節，協助廠商更有效及快速取得印度標準局認可，讓光寶能滿足客戶的需求。」
UL在印度當地擁有兩所設備完善的實驗室，分別位於班加羅爾(Bangalore)及馬尼薩爾(Manesar)。為迎合全球電子製造商對印度註冊的龐大需求，UL早已成立專責小組，廣集各地資深工程師參與，建立測試能力及相關程序，且與印度官方定時會面，務求取得標準最新趨勢。UL電子科技產業部大中華區總經理于秀坤表示：「印度官方標準要求會因應實際需要而不斷進行更新，如近日發佈的註冊碼有效年期已由一年改為兩年，且如遇產品的功能及設計有改變，標準條文解釋存有灰色地帶時，以UL與當地官方機構緊密合作夥伴關係，能替廠商快速尋求方案，以免耽誤整個申請程序。」
于秀坤補充說明，「印度標準局強制性計劃自2013年生效後，UL已成功為全球數百間企業，包括著名消費電子品牌客戶，取得進入印度消費電子市場的資格。為求提供優質本地化的服務，UL大中華區的工程師亦通過內部訓練，成為電子產品前進印度市場的專家，專責提供相關服務。

先前曾傳出光華商家擔憂三創生活園區開幕後(三創生活園區與光華數位新天地空橋相接)，客源恐遭分散。不過昨天有光華店家表示，透過先前跟三創開會了解，三創引進的廠商都是直營商、代理商，而非經銷商，不擔心三創掀起價格戰。再者，三創瞄準家庭、女性消費者、觀光客等，加上搭建空橋，將能帶來人潮、買氣。

資策會於16日舉辦「展望2015科技產業發展趨勢」記者會，將一舉釋出對電腦系統、通訊服務、半導體與影像顯示、軟體服務等四大領域、9大類產業的展望，預示明年科技產業風向。
資策會產業情報研究所（MIC）表示，近期景氣預測調查顯示，多數受訪企業對於2014年台灣整體資訊與通信科技（ICT）產業的景氣表現，抱持正面樂觀態度，樂觀態度是否持續至2015年，則備受關注，將解析可能影響產業發展的景氣迷霧，與各次產業的競爭態勢。
此次說明發展趨勢，將分為電腦系統、通訊服務、半導體與影像顯示、軟體服務等四大領域，熱門話題物聯網、巨量資料、電子商務都將特別說明。

此次的CES展聚焦五大亮點
:一、大尺寸手機和平板。
二、二合一的NB，具有更高效能和低功耗。
三、OLED/LED 4K超過清電視。
四、無線電源。
五、穿戴式裝置。

工研院昨（17）日發表會裝冰淇淋的智慧感測視覺機器手、大尺寸3D列印機，以及可自我修復材料等34項技術成果，展現在下世代智慧製造及綠能環保材料的技術能量。工研院南分院指出，已與東捷（8064）、東台及華寶、南帝等設備和汽車零組件廠密切合作。
其中有智慧感測視覺的機器手已獲得汽機車廠應用在噴塗生產線，較傳統的機器人精度提升二倍、速度提高四倍。此外，工研院與荷蘭最大產業技術研發機構TNO共同成立「3D列印國際研發平台」，結合工研院及TNO在3D列印的研發能量，協助產業加速導入3D列印行列。

感恩節購物旺季將在周末登場，最受歡迎的平板電腦啟動大降價，其中華碩 (2357) 的二代Nexus7 32GB版宣布降價至239美元，約打8.8折，英特爾則攜手惠普，推出只賣89美元的限定版平板，價格直逼山寨機，今年平板戰殺得激烈。
第四季筆電進入淡季，但平板出貨卻強勁，成代工廠淡季主要動能，蘋果iPad Air、iPad Mini Retina開賣，帶動第四季全球平板出貨量上看8,000萬台，但除了蘋果軍團的鴻海 (2317) 、和碩 (4938) 出貨動能強之外，非蘋陣營的廣達(2382) 、仁寶 (2324) 則靠亞馬遜Kindle Fire HDX及Nexus 7。
美國是全球最大平板市場，加上感恩節後的星期五是全美最大購物季之一，非蘋陣營為了與iPad Air、iPad Mini Retina競爭，多在價格上努力，像是美國通路商Newegg、亞馬遜為因應黑色星期五，將二代Nexus7的32GB版本從269美元降至239美元，約打8.8折。
